14 February 2018, Ash Wednesday
Mass, blessing and imposition of ashes at 12.30pm and 8pm.

Ash Wednesday is an obligatory day of fasting and abstinence.

Abstinence for those aged 14 onwards is to refrain from eating any meat.

Fasting for those aged above 18 and under 60 is to have one main meal or two small ones.

Stations of the Cross + Friday Fast (Note exceptions for Friday 16 Feb)
Fridays are days of fasting and abstinence.

However, for 16 February, which is the Chinese New Year holiday, the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei has decided that dispensation will be given to all Catholics from fast and abstinence from meat on that day.

Devotional prayers of the Way of the Cross are on every Friday during Lent at 6.30pm in church after the evening Mass. Note that this will start from 23 February.

Evening Mass on Fridays will be celebrated in church instead of in the chapel. There will be no evening Mass on 16 February.
