Sunday School
Parents, please note that catechism classes resume on 14 Jan 2018, 10am to 11.30am.

A welcome letter to parents will be distributed to your child through his or her catechist.

To defray the cost of materials for running the catechetical programme, an annual registration fee of S$15 per child will be collected. Please head to the church canteen on Sunday 21 Jan or 4 Feb between 10am and 11am for payment by cash or cheque. For cheques, please make it payable to Church of St Teresa, and write the name of your child and class level at the back of the cheque for ease of processing.

Parents who have missed the registration for your children on 31 Dec 2017, please kindly do so this Sunday 14 Jan at Room #02-08 (above the canteen) from 10am to 10:30am. Please remember to take along a photocopy of your child’s baptism certificate.

 

Parish Parents-Catechists Welcome & Formation Session
To start the new catechetical year, parents are invited and encouraged to meet with your child’s catechist. There will also be a formation session on how to pray as a family.

There will be no catechism classes on the day to make time for this gathering. Your child is also welcome to attend this with you.

Important Notice: Change of Mass Times
Please be reminded that the evening Masses on Saturday and Sunday in our parish will start at 5.30pm instead of 6pm.

Novena service on Saturday will be at 4.45pm in the main church instead of the chapel.

The changes, in effect from 6 Jan, were decided by the priests of the parish, in consultation with the Parish Council.

 

Collection for the Poor
The second collection by the Society of St Vincent de Paul for the poor during the weekend Masses on 6 & 7 Jan was S$10,970.40 in total. Thank you very much for your generosity.

Blessing on Second Weekend of the Month
A special blessing at the end of Masses for those celebrating wedding anniversaries in January.

 

Briefing Day for Infant Baptism
The next Infant Baptism will be held on Sunday 4 February, 4pm.
To prepare for this, there will be a meeting for parents whose babies are getting baptised, and the godparents need to be present as well.

Second Collection for GIFT
Next weekend, being the third weekend of the month, there will be a second collection to receive your monthly pledges to Catholic Foundation’s GIFT campaign.

GIFT is Catholic Foundation’s regular giving campaign to fund the numerous organisations involved in families, youth, evangelisation, etc, as well as building projects in the archdiocese.

Kindly complete your pledge envelopes with the cash/cheque enclosed and drop them into the collection bags that will be passed round. The envelopes can be found at the bulletin stands in church.

Change of Venue for Memorial Mass
Please be informed that the Mass for deceased loved ones, which is on every first Wednesday of the month, will be held in the chapel instead of the main church, with effect from 7 February 2018.

Commencement of School Year Mass
This year, 6 principals have been newly appointed to head our Catholic schools and pre-schools. The Archdiocesan Commission for Catholic Schools (ACCS) invites all educators to celebrate Mass with them and to pray for all our Catholic schools and pre-schools.

An event organised by the Caritas Singapore Young Adults Committee, in collaboration with the Kingsmead Centre for Ignatian Spirituality and Counselling.

Personal Moral Compass Course 2018
This course conducted by Fr David Garcia, OP is for all Catholics and all people of goodwill who are interested in getting formation in the foundations of Ethics and Moral Theology. It is a one-year-long systematic course in Moral Theology consisting of 6 individual modules. The course is organised under Caritas Singapore.

Pieta Singapore
Pieta is a support group made up of Catholic parents who have suffered the loss of their children. The mission is to provide support to other bereaved parents and foster a sense of solidarity in God’s comfort and wisdom.

Pieta holds sessions with scripture, prayer and reflection.

Share-A-Pot @ Agape Village
Know of any elders who would enjoy a bowl of nutritious soup, some meaningful activities and making new friends?

In collaboration with Alexandra Health Services, Agape Village will be conducting a weekly Share-A-Pot programme where seniors with little access to proper meals and / or facing neglect may get together to rebuild their bodies, minds and spirits over a good bowl of broth.

Carpark Closure for Christmas Party
Tentage has been set up in front of the canteen (which is still closed this weekend) for the parish’s Christmas Party on Saturday (6 Jan, 7pm to 10pm).

Carpark C (up the slope next to St Teresa Centre) will be closed this weekend and there be limited parking spaces available around the church compound. Do find alternative parking at the Bukit Purmei housing blocks nearby. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

 

Commissioning of Catechists
Catechists serving in our parish will be commissioned at Sunday’s 8.30am Mass. Let us keep our catechists in prayers as they continue to guide and form our Sunday School’s children and youth with great love and dedication.

 

Collection for the Poor
