Sale of Advent Wreaths
There will be sale of Advent wreaths and hand-crafted gift items at the canteen on Sunday Nov 26, 3 Dec and 10 Dec after the morning Masses.

All proceeds of the sale will be donated to Caritas Humanitarian Aid & Relief Initiatives Singapore (CHARIS). Organised by the Golden Years Club’s Craft Club.

 

Sunday School Children’s Mass
The last day of the Sunday catechism classes is on 26 Nov. The 8.30am Mass is a Children’s Mass. All students, parents/guardians and catechists are encouraged to attend.

 

Advent Reflection Booklets
Take home a booklet of reflections for the season of Advent. Produced by the Office for the New Evangelisation, the theme for the new liturgical year is “The Anticipating Community”.

Prepare spiritually for the season with your parish groups or ministries, to increase communication between family members, or for personal reflection. Pick up a copy at the church bulletin stands, or download a copy here.

 

Blessings on Fourth Weekend of the Month
Special blessings at the end of Masses this weekend for parents-to-be

 

Prayers for Priests
There will be a prayer service for priests and vocations at our chapel, Wednesday 29 Nov, at 6.30pm after daily Mass. All are encouraged to pray for priestly and religious life, and the seminarians staying at our parish.

“The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest.” (Luke 10:2)

 

An Hour of Eucharistic Adoration
All are invited to the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at the chapel on Thursday 30 Nov from 8pm to 9pm

 

Advent Wreaths
There will be a blessing of Advent wreaths after all Masses next weekend 2 & 3 Dec, so do take yours along with you.

 

Cantonese Mass
Mass celebrated on Saturday 2 Dec at 3.30pm in the chapel, with the Mother of Divine Love Cantonese Group

Parish Advent Retreat
All parishioners are invited to make room for Jesus in this Advent retreat as we give thanks for the end of our liturgical year and prepare ourselves for Advent.

Sister Francisca Tan, RC (Religious of the Cenacle) will be conducting the retreat, with the theme, “Emmanuel – God with Us”.

Date: Saturday 25 Nov 2017
Time: 9am to 4.30pm
Venue: Auditorium, level 3, Parish House

As lunch will be provided, registration is required for catering purpose. Please register early as seats are limited.

Year-end Children’s Camp
Our Parish Council will be organising a stay-in Children’s Camp from 1 to 3 Dec 2017 for those aged 7 to 12. It will be held at St Francis Xavier Major Seminary, Punggol. For more details, approach the catechists leading your child’s class.

 

Second Collection for GIFT
This weekend, being the third weekend of the month, there will be a second collection to receive your monthly pledges to Catholic Foundation’s GIFT campaign.

GIFT is Catholic Foundation’s regular giving campaign to fund the numerous organisations involved in families, youth, evangelisation, etc, as well as building projects in the archdiocese.

Kindly complete your pledge envelopes with the cash/cheque enclosed and drop them into the collection bags that will be passed round. The envelopes can be found at the bulletin stands in church.

The second collection by the Society of St Vincent de Paul for the poor during the weekend Masses on 4  & 5 Oct was S$11,483.20 in total. Thank you so much for your generosity.
