Those who would like to pay for flowers to decorate the sanctuary and statue of St Therese, for our upcoming parish feast day, may place your orders after Masses outside the sacristy this weekend. Thank you for your support.

Movie Screening
There will be a special movie screening of “The 13th Day” at our church on 16 Sep.

Prayers for Priests
There will be a prayer service for priests and vocations at our chapel, Wednesday 30 Aug, at 6.30pm after daily Mass. All are encouraged to pray for priestly and religious life, and the seminarians staying at our parish.

“The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest.” (Luke 10:2)

Parishioners are welcome to get together for an afternoon of Divine Mercy prayers and fellowship to bond with each other.

Mass celebrated on Saturday 2 Sep at 3.30pm in the chapel, with the Mother of Divine Love Cantonese Group

 

An Hour of Eucharistic Adoration
All are invited to the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at the chapel on Thursday 7 Sep from 8pm to 9pm

Outreach by the Daughters of Saint Paul
The Daughters of St Paul will be at our parish this weekend with a variety of media materials to be sold, including bibles, books, DVDs and CDs, to help us nourish our faith and grow closer to God. As part of their fundraising efforts for a new convent,​ ​items including icon tapestries and pearls are also on sale for their building fund. Please give the Sisters your kind support, thank you

 

Third Sunday Fellowship Lunch
All are welcome to a fellowship lunch in the canteen after the 12.30pm Mass

 

Second Collection for GIFT
This being the third weekend of the month, there will be a second collection to receive your monthly pledges to Catholic Foundation’s GIFT campaign.

GIFT is Catholic Foundation’s regular giving campaign to fund the numerous organisations involved in families, youth, evangelisation, etc, as well as building projects in the archdiocese.

The contributions from our parish from the start of the campaign last November to June this year has been more than S$103,000. For an update on the collections so far, read the report.

Kindly complete your pledge envelopes with the cash/cheque enclosed and drop them into the collection bags that will be passed round. The envelopes can be found at the bulletin stands in church.

PILGRIMAGE IN MY BACKYARD (PIMBY) | 27 Aug 2017

Pilgrimages of faith need not be overseas. There is one happening right here at our backyard!

Explore and discover the roots of how the Church of St Teresa came to be built on Singapore soil, listen to the faith stories on the zeal of the early missionaries and the fervour of the lay people. The journey will include a visit to Carmelite Monastery.

TIME:  2.30pm to 5.30pm

VENUE: Meet at the church canteen, 2.15pm

Church Canteen Food
Please note that the canteen will be selling food that is bought from a licensed food vendor.

The church is not allowed to cook and sell food on our premises, as we do not have the approved licence from the National Environment Agency and have also not fulfilled the safety requirements of the Singapore Civil Defence Force.

We thank you for your continuous support and look forward to seeing you at our canteen for your regular Sunday breakfast.

This is a Holy Day of Obligation and the faithful are to celebrate Mass and to offer worship to God with joy, as is proper on a Sunday.

Rite Of Acceptance (RCIA)
We pray for those who have joined the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) to learn about our Catholic faith or to seek baptism. The 41 inquirers and 1 candidate (non-Catholic Christians) celebrate their Rite of Acceptance this weekend at the sunset Mass on 5 Aug.

 

Collection for the Poor
There will be a second cash collection at this weekend’s Masses for the poor and the needy, under the care of the Society of St Vincent de Paul at our parish. Please give generously to the families and individuals receiving aid. Thank you.

Special blessing at the end of Masses for those celebrating birthdays in August.
