Sunday School
Parents, please take note that there are no catechism classes on 29 Jan due to the Chinese New year holidays. Classes resume on 5 Feb.

 

Holy Hour: Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
Please note that there will be no Adoration on Thursday 2 Feb 2017 due to the Chinese New Year festivities. Holy Hour will resume in March.

 

Mass for Deceased Loved Ones
Wednesday 3 Feb | 8pm | church

 

Gathering with the Joyful Hearts Group
There will be no gathering on 2 Feb
Prayers and fellowship will resume from Thursday 9 Feb onwards.

 

Cantonese Mass
The Mother of Divine Love Cantonese Group will be celebrating its 15th anniversary on Saturday 4 Feb in the chapel from 9.30am to 4.45pm. We pray the community may continue to draw more people to Christ.

 

Briefing Day for Infant Baptism
The next Infant Baptism will be held on Sunday 12 February, 4pm, in our parish.
To prepare for this, there will be a meeting for parents whose babies are getting baptised, and the godparents need to be present as well.

RCIA Retreat
Let us pray for our facilitators, sponsors and all catechumens undergoing the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), as they prepare to attend their retreat on 25 & 26 February at the St Francis Xavier Retreat House in Punggol. Fr Valerian Cheong will be the retreat master. May the Holy Spirit inspire and strengthen the catechumens to walk towards the Living Waters of baptism this Easter in April.

Special blessings at the end of Masses this weekend for parents-to-be

Prayers for Priests
There will be a prayer service for priests and vocations at our chapel, Wednesday 25 February, at 6.30pm after daily Mass.

All are encouraged to pray for priestly and religious life.

“The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest.” (Luke 10:2)

Blessing on Second Weekend of the Month
A special blessing at the end of Masses for those celebrating wedding anniversaries in January.

 

Collection by the Poor
The second collection by the Society of St Vincent de Paul for the poor during the weekend Masses on 31 Dec 2016 and 1 Jan 2017 was S$12,326.20 in total. Thank you so much for your great generosity.

 

Second Collection for GIFT
Next weekend (14 & 15 Jan), there will be a second collection to receive your monthly pledges to Catholic Foundation’s GIFT project if you are giving by cash or cheque.

To recap, the Catholic Foundation is looking for regular monthly contributions to fund the numerous organisations in the archdiocese that are involved in families, youth, evangelisation, etc, as well as for building projects such as church facilities, a seminary, and a retirement home for priests.

Kindly have your pledge envelopes ready with GIRO form completed, or cash or cheque enclosed, and drop them into the collection bags that will be passed around.
