The Archdiocesan Biblical Apostolate shares the invaluable gift of God’s Word with you. Do pick up a free copy of “Jesus, the Living Word, Speaks” at our bulletin stands, written by Sister Sandra Seow from the Verbum Dei Missionaries.

The book consists of 5 articles, touching on the need to listen to the Word of God, the method of listening to His Word, the struggles in praying with the Word as well as the call to proclaim His Word.

It also consists of personal testimonies of Catholics who have listened and put the Word of God into practice in their daily lives.

Bible Sunday
To celebrate Bible Sunday this year, the Archdiocesan Biblical Apostolate wants to share the invaluable gift of God’s Word with you. We are called to never get tired of diving into the Word of God. It is there that we engage with God and personally encounter Him.

As part of their fundraising efforts for their new convent, the sisters will also be promoting a cookbook titled “Taste of Heaven”, priced at S$25. Do give them your generous support.

There will be no Requiem Mass at 8pm on Wed 6 July due to the annual priests’ retreat and also due to the public holiday (Hari Raya Puasa). All Mass intentions will be celebrated at the priests’ retreat.

 

Annual Priests’ Retreat 2016
All diocesan priests will be away on retreat from Monday 4 July to Friday 8 July. Please pray for them that they may have much-needed quiet time, rest and rejuvenation, and deepen their relationship with God.

There will be no daily Masses at 6pm on those days. Communion Service will be conducted by the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion in the chapel, except on Wednesday 6 July, which is a public holiday.

YEAR OF MERCY PILGRIMAGE TO ROME 2016

 

A pilgrimage to the 4 Holy Doors in the 4 Major Basilicas in Rome will be organised in this Jubilee Year of Mercy.

It will include visits to holy sites such as Rotondo (exposition of the body of St Pio), Assisi (St Francis and St Clare), Padua (relic of St Anthony) and many other cities such as Venice, Florence, Sorrento (details in the brochure below).

Dates: Sunday 28 August to Saturday 10 September 2016
Spiritual Director: Friar Joseph Nasanathan, OFM, from the Holy Land Vice-Commissariat Office

Registration will be on a first-come-first-served basis, with a minimum of 25 to proceed, and a maximum of 30. A deposit of S$2,000 per pilgrim is needed for confirmation and payment may be made to the travel agency directly (details in booking form) by latest end June 2016.
