Welcome New Members to Choir
The Benedictus Choir serves at the 12.30pm Sunday Mass and it is inviting parishioners to join the group. Anyone who has passion to serve, can sing (beginner or pro) or play instruments are welcome. If interested, please approach anyone of the members after Mass or contact Oliver at 96184727.

An Hour of Eucharistic Adoration
To enable us to spend time with the Lord and deepen our spiritual lives, the Parish Pastoral Council invites all to an hour of Eucharistic Adoration on the Thursday before the first Friday of every month in 2016

Chinese New Year & Ash Wednesday Mass Schedule
Parents, note that there will be no Sunday School on 7 Feb

 

Briefing Day for Infant Baptism
Please take note that due to the Chinese New Year’s celebrations, Infant Baptism has been rescheduled to Sunday 14 February 2016. There will be a meeting for parents whose babies are getting baptised. Godparents need to be present as well.

Year of Mercy Pilgrimage to Rome, Italy

Three seminarians are assigned to our parish for their pastoral formation this year. They are Justin Yip (1st year Theology), Gabriel Wong and Nicholas Lye (3rd year Theology). We welcome them and pray they have a fruitful year ahead with us.

Talk on the New Evangelisation
Fr Terence Pereira, the Episcopal Vicar for the New Evangelisation, will be at our parish for a special formation session. Find out more here.

Prayers for Priests
There will be a prayer service for priests and vocations at our chapel, Wednesday 27 January, at 6.30pm after daily Mass. All are encouraged to pray for priestly and religious life.

“The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest.” (Luke 10:2)

TALK ON THE NEW EVANGELISATION | 23 Jan 2016

The Tenets of the New Evangelisation was presented by our Archbishop in 2015. The Parish Pastoral Council would like to share with all parishioners these tenets that touch on Word, Worship, Communion and Witness.  Fr Terence Pereira, the Episcopal Vicar for the New Evangelisation, will be with us to guide us more at this special session. It will be beneficial to all parishioners and especially to parish organisation members.

Second Collection for Evangelisation Activities
There will be a second collection at all Masses this weekend to help fund the activities of the Office for the New Evangelisation (ONE), including but not limited to missionary projects and appeals, both in Singapore and overseas.

ONE coordinates the New Evangelisation initiatives of the Singapore archdiocese and provides training and formation especially in the areas of evangelisation, catechesis and pastoral formation. Please give generously for the Church, thank you.

Collection by the Society of St Vincent de Paul
Last weekend’s second collection by the Society of St Vincent de Paul for the poor was S$11,845.40 in total from all Masses. Thank you so much for your great generosity.

 

Commissioning of Catechists
We as a community are reminded of the importance and commitment that catechists must make to lead others to faith through formation and teaching. We pray for them and their work at the 8.30am Mass on Sunday.

 

Blessing on Second Weekend of the Month
Special blessing at the end of Masses for those celebrating wedding anniversaries in January.

Collection by Society of St Vincent de Paul
There will be a second cash collection at this weekend’s Masses for the needy under the care of the society at our parish. Please give generously to the families and individuals receiving aid, thank you.

Mass celebrated at 3.30pm in the chapel with the Mother of Divine Love Cantonese Group

 

Sunday School
Registration of new students (a copy of the child’s baptism certificate is required) and the sale of textbooks for primary levels will be held at the canteen after the 8.30am and 10.30am Masses on Sunday, 27 December 2015 and 3 January 2016.
