FR ROMEO YU CHANG’S SILVER JUBILEE

FR ROMEO’S JUBILEE CELEBRATION

We will be celebrating Fr Romeo’s 25th year as priest on Saturday 5 September 2015!

He was ordained on 8 September 1990.

Mass will be held at 6pm that day in our parish and we gather to pray and give thanks to God for Fr Romeo, who has served us for 13 years.

This is followed by dinner at 7.30pm for those who have bought tickets, at CHIJ Kellock Convent’s Assembly Hall, Level 2, 1 Bukit Teresa Road (a short walk from our parish).

All tables for the jubilee dinner have been fully sold. Thank you very much for your support!

Advisory on Car Parking

Car owners going for the Mass but not proceeding to the jubilee dinner are advised not to park around the church compound as they may face difficulties getting out of the church.

Kindly park at the surrounding public housing carparks for your own convenience. Thank you for your cooperation.

MAKE YOUR OWN SACRIFICE BEADS – 22 Aug | 5 Sep

St Teresa of the Child Jesus, our parish patron saint, was given a little string of beads to count her little sacrifices and acts of love she did for God. In the book “The Story of a Family” by Fr Stephane Piat, he wrote that Teresa and her sisters used to carry the beads in their pockets or kept them in a small drawer in the house. Their mother, Zelie Martin, commended them at the end of each day for being so loving to the good Lord for sinners.

In conjunction with our parish feast day celebrations and the canonisation of St Teresa’s parents, Louis and Zelie Martin, on 18 October, the Golden Years Club is inviting all parishioners to come together as a family of God to make these sacrifice beads; and to grow as a family in love, making acts of love each day.
