The third Singapore Lourdes Experience (previously held in 2008 and 2004) will take place this December, organised by the Order of Malta Singapore, for those who seek healing and are not able to make the arduous trip to Lourdes in France.

Hundreds of litres of water from the sacred site will be imported for this special event, to be distributed to the sick who attend, and to each parish for distribution to parishioners who are too ill to be at the event venue that day.

Limited complimentary tickets to the event are available on a first-come-first-served basis at the parish office, given only to parishioners. No reservation of tickets is allowed.

Those with medical conditions, please take and complete a form to be certified by your doctor that you are medically fit to attend this event. The form is also with the parish office.

Closing date for submission of medical form and ticket collection is Friday 28 Nov 2014.

Lourdes in the south of France is one of the sites where the faithful believe the Virgin Mary appeared to St Bernadette in 1858. Many cases of healing have been attributed to Mary’s intercession on behalf of pilgrims, who travel faithfully there to drink and bathe in the spring waters near the grotto of her appearance.

To celebrate the end of the liturgical year, we welcome you to join members of our various parish organisations for a dialogue, to discuss and find ways to build a more vibrant and caring parish community.

There will be an open dialogue on a number of shortlisted proposals received by our parish organisations on how to achieve this. This will be followed by lunch at about 12.30pm, when we will break into groups to work through the shortlisted proposals. After lunch, we will gather back at the auditorium to share the feedback and conclusions from the groups. We will aim to end the dialogue at 3pm.

After that, those who are able to are invited to stay for tea till 4pm to socialise and get to know fellow parishioners better.

Date: Sunday 23 Nov 2014
Time: 10am-3pm (dialogue with lunch break); 3pm-4pm (tea)
